About
Ed Hardy Fine Art
“It all begins with a desire, a yearning to relive a moment in time or fantasy into which the artist has captured with paint and canvas - whether realistic or abstract”
Art is a vehicle, an artist’s personal expression of the natural world, created for those who find solace and inspiration in the natural world, for beach and nature lovers, as well as those captivated by the serene beauty of forests and beautiful landscapes.
I craft my work to resonate with individuals who feel a deep connection to the rhythms of the ocean, the whisper of coastal breezes, the rustle of leaves in dense woodlands, and the quiet majesty of towering forest. I do this in multi mediums of acrylic, oil, and watercolors.
My creations are for those who seek to bring the essence of these natural sanctuaries into their lives, offering a visual escape that evokes peace, wonder, and a sense of belonging to the earth’s timeless beauty.
Through my art, I aim to capture the fleeting moments of light, texture, and emotion found in these paintings, inviting you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with that which surrounds us.
I also paint for pet lovers, capturing the unique spirit and boundless joy of their furry companions bringing their personalities to life on canvas.
MY STORY
I began an interest in pencil and line when I was 4 years old taking the form of scribbling on a piece of paper and taking kitchen orders like a short order cook.
My mother, whom I loved dearly, she has passed at this writing, recognized that my sketches had shape, so at the later age of 9, she hired an art teacher to tutor me. For 3 years I learned oil painting and color combinations, perspective, and most of all how to be creative.
Having an Engineer as a father, I was very inquisitive and methodical. I loved at an early age, taking old equipment apart, like a toaster and repairing the damage components and returning them to their previous owner. Then later in High School I fell in love with playing music. which lasted for 25 years, I believe, because it fed a “creative” side of my being and honored God. I toured with six local bands and served churches as a Praise Team member.
Being raised in rural Eastern NC, my mother who worked in the education system, wanted me to major at ECU in Graphic Design & Art. But I chose a different career path in life.
“If it’s one thing I know, the wheel of life never stops rolling…we are just on it for a short ride.”
It is my desire, my personal goal, to create artwork that you will fall in love with and retain for years and at the same time inspire you to be a better person when gazing upon it.” I hope that you see a touch of God’s beauty in it as well.
